You can set the date and time
from Configuration > Date and Time in the Server Manager (for all deployments except Container-based MiVoice Business (cMiVB)
from Solution Manager > Time Zone for Container-based MiVoice Business (cMiVB).
NOTE
Previous to MIVB 9.0, the date and time could also be set through the 5540 IP Console Function keys. As of MiVB 9.0 and beyond, this is no longer supported.
This date and time appears on all SMDR, traffic measurements, data dumps, display telephones, and attendant consoles. They are also in the message envelopes that preface embedded voice mail messages.
Except for IP phones, the time is based on the time zone of the host controller. You can override this for IP phones in the Network Zones form and have the time displayed based on the local time zone of the phone.
NOTES
System Date and Time uses a Network Time Protocol (NTP) server and settings, which are based on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), and should be accurate to within one second.
When the time or date of the switch has been changed, you must reset Bandwidth Management Statistics, using the BWM Statistics Reset command.
The time format (12 or 24 hour) is controlled by the attendant and overrides the Multiline Set Display 24 Hour Format in System Options for multiline IP Phones.
Setting date and time from an attendant console is not allowed when NTP is enabled.
After changing the time zone for the system, it takes up to one hour for the 53xx series sets to update and display the time that reflects the new zone.
Time display based on the local time zone of a device (as opposed to the host controller) is supported on IP phones only. SIP phones, consoles plus the following features and applications always display the local time of the host controller:
MiTAI-connected applications
Call History application (both call control and set-based)
Wake-up calls (automatic and remote)
Timestamps in embedded voice mail prompts
Hot Desk user devices, including ACD Hot Desk Agents and External Hot Desk Users, always display the local time of the physical device that the user is logged on to. Timestamps for voice mail messages reflect the time zone of the directory number receiving the message. The Time Zone feature supports extension, information, message only, and guest mailbox types:
Voice mail timestamps reflect the time zone of the directory number receiving the message.
Unified messaging and visual voice timestamps reflect the correct time zone.
Auto Attendants with different business hour greetings are now time zone aware so the greetings played are based on the local time.
None required for controller-based time display.
For time displayed based on IP phone location,

Associate the network zone of the phone to the time zone where the phone is located.
